1975 Penny mint mark error?

    I have this 1975 Lincoln cent where the mint mark looks like an error. Any thoughts?

    Sorry, just Post Mint Damage. It got hit with something sharp during it's 40+ years in circulation.

    It's not even a mintmark. As previously stated, it is just PMD.

    1975 S is a proof, I don't think it's that.
    No mint mark for Philly, and I don't think it was a D either.
    No mint mark, just struck by something in that area to cause the damage.
