Sorry for the skepticism, but if it's authentic, you have something very rare. If you've weighed it on an accurate scale and it comes in at 3.11 grams (I think the tolerance is +/- 0.1 gms) you need to show it to an expert at a large coin show or a third party grading service. There is no way to truly tell from your pictures if it is authentic. If you really want to find out if it's real, get it accurately weighed. If it's real, then we'll all be reading about it in the numismatic publications. Send a pic of the authenticated coin to your good friends at Coin Talk. Most of us will be happy for you (albeit a little jealous) If you string out the thread without having it checked, then most of us will have a good idea of what's going on, and we don't have time for that.
