Would anybody say this is a 1896 morgan dd/o

    Thanks for posting the pictures Dawg. I'm looking at what you've posted and trying to find the numbers you said you've seen. I don't see any numbers. Is there any way you could open that image in something like Microsoft Paint and draw what you are seeing to clarify it to me? Keep in mind, I'm not very good at seeing animals in cloud formations either, so I'm not exactly an authority in these sort of things! lol

    Additionally, what is the image of? Is that just a carbon spot, or is that part of the coin design? I'm just trying to wrap my head around what I'm seeing there. At first glance, it almost looks like it's some kind of deterioration. Like a fungus growing on the coin, or something along those lines.

    It's on a 1922 peace $ looks to me like a cabon spot to me but under magnification it look like what you see . Yeah I'll go to paint and outline the numbers which I'm refering to
