Hm. I still want a nice Marcus Aurelius. Being a wannabe adherent of stoicism, he's the only real Stoic I know that graces a numismatic item. I do have a Nero coin from the time of Seneca's proxy rule, but it of course shows Nero, who no one would probably consider a stoic. Anyway... nice Marcus! And nice Mars!
I have a couple of Mars coins: Nice! Here's Mars on an Antoninianus of Numerian: ...which looks an awful lot like Virtus on this Antoninianus of Gallienus, in my opinion:
Hi Guys I am a newbie in roman imperial coin and just bought 2 coins recently. I am not sure about their authenticity and appreciate if an expert can provide opinion regarding authenticity of them
As far as I know, there is no one here who considers themselves an expert, at least expert at looking at images and determining authenticity. We DO have our opinions, and my opinion of your coins is that they look authentic. Two things. First, you should start a new post when talking about a new subject from the OP subject. You will get a better response. Second, when asking about authenticity, please provide weight and measurements. That helps in any determination. We've had a lot of new members to CT lately, so I can't recall if I've welcomed you or not. If not, please feel welcome here. It's a great bunch of posters (except @Sallent who is well, Sallent - only jokes brother)
