Howdy joker79 - Welcome to the Forum !!

It's not a coin really - it's a medal - Krause M7. But a rather rare medal according to Krause - 400 pieces struck. And if it is genuine, based on the pic it should be worth approx. $2900 according to the Krause catalog.

No, that would be about $3,850 at current exchange rates. $2,900 is only about €2,180. :(

Don't forget, not every round piece of metal with a design stamped on it is a "coin"; and very few that don't have some monetary amount on them are coins.

This one is probably a commemorative medal of some kind. The legend seems to refer to a wedding that occurred on April 24, 1876. If I'm not mistaken ( ) it's a 5th or 50th anniversary, which would date it to 1881 or 1926. What legend and/or design is on the other side?

That is the 2 florin, struck to commemorate their silver wedding anniversary. Value would range from $45 - $110.

The denomination of the commemorative 2 Florins from Austria is actually inscribed on the edge.

It was not uncommon for many coins to have inscriptions or designs on the edge of the coin. But it is seldom done today.

Joker79,quite a few of the German-speaking states issued coins with the denomination inscribed on the edge.Austria is a very well-known one,but Bavaria also did the same thing as well.
