    Finally!
    Only this week managed to get a photo of my Secret Saturnalia present. Huge thanks to Theodosius for this gorgeous Galerius follis.

    Galerius (Caesar)
    Coin: Bronze Follis
    MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES - Laureate head right
    POPV LI ROMANI - Genius standing left, modus on head, naked but for chlamys over left shoulder, holding patera and cornucopia. A in left field.
    Exergue: [​IMG][​IMG]
    Mint: Trier (293-305 AD)
    Wt./Size/Axis: 10.30g / 27mm / -
    References: RIC IV Treveri 158b p180

    I thought "Secret Saturnalia" was suppose to be secret. Nice coin and very nice gift. Here are a couple of Gallerius. I posted my "SS" coin in another thread recently

    Nice Bing. I got a Diocletian Moneta a while back.

    It cleaned up quite a bit, I daren't do any more for fear of losing the silvering.

    Galerius is a sweet spot for me. Haven't posted these before.

    As Caesar (293-305), argenteus, Rome mint, VIRTVS MILITVM, four tetrarchs sacrificing before city walls with six turrets, nothing in ex.

    As Caesar (293-305), follis, Trier mint, MONETA S AVGG ET CAESS N N, Moneta standing left, holding scales and cornucopiae, star in right field, ATR in ex.

    I guess I need to get something of Galerius as Augustus...

    Yep, it's hard not to LOVE a big Follis, especially in hand:rolleyes::D

    Since so many terrific examples have already been posted, I'll throw in my argenteus of the Tetrarchy, featuring Diocletian:

    Great looking coin Chris. I love the patina. It always reminds me of a cool, very fine iron rust patina...
