Can anyone tell me what this coin might be worth. I also noticed on the obverse side on the edge of the coin seems to be damaged or maybe it could be a die crack on the coin. I'm not to familiar on coin grading but I'm open to anyone who might have some knowledge.

It looks like the plating is wearing off. The more it loses the plating the more it will be worth.

IHC Plated? Can you explain what you are referring to?

Somebody plated that. I got a 1908 like that. The plating is a lot more stuck on it than that, though some copper does show through in spots. His goldilocks looks to me like it was plated.

What do think it's plated with?

Some kind of goldish stuff. I don't know. Mine is on pretty thick, though. Does it look electroplate to you? I see copper showing through in spots on yours. But yours isn't tarnish, and these copper coins don't turn like that without an assist from something.

I'm sorry if I confused you the natural color of the coin is not of gold tone. It's my mistake I had flash on while taking the shot. I can try and take another shot without the flash.

It looks to have surface damage and it has been cleaned. It's worth no more than a dollar.

Looks like it was sandblasted to me.

I see it now. It was the lighting I was seeing. Thanks for the new picture.

The coin kept its features. It's missing some elements we like. The surface was compromised, that's the big one, that's why it won't even grade.

That said, that's just how it goes. Don't throw it back. ;)
