has anyone seen something like this Penny?

    I came across this when checking coins,I used to work at a plastic place and items came out with specs like this is it possible sand or something?should I send it some place to get examined these are my Dad's coins he passed away in 1995 and I'm going through his coins..any help or advise would be appreciated..Thanks,Jim

    I didn't know there was so many varieties I guess Dad knew what he was doing me well :confused: he had 3 dimes in a folder marked no mint,
    turns out 1982 e-bay'd them for over $400 I guess we're all looking for the Holy Grail,I just got laid off work and need to do something:banghead:

    Many times when a person new to coin collecting sees something strange and/or different, the first thing that is assumed is that it is some type of Mint Error. That is why it is good to ask the questions and get the answers. After some time and knowledge AND a better understanding of the Minting process, you will be able to tell the difference.

    Wow Thanks so much 98 That is one of the most error finding websites so far I bookmarked it and found out what it is,They call it "squeezed in debris" if any one interested here is the link, http://www.error-ref.com/squeezed-in-debris-2/ does anyone know if this is common?
