I found this coin in a roll and the s mint mark is close to the date can anyone confirm if this is an error? Here are the pictures
Not a Mint Error In 1972, Mint Marks were hand punched into the Obverse Die. So it ended up in many different spots under the date. Your S just was punched near the date.
Want to see some crazy hand punched mint marks, try the 1974D. They are all over the place. High, low, north, south, east and west and all mixed in between that.
I have this coin but think no one haven't seen this error before , it's a 2007 d lincoln cent , I don't know if it worth anything but I will let you guys decide, here are the pictures
