Yes this is a matte proof also. It is a PCGS picture so It has been graded. Where are you getting these pictures from?
actually this one is in my own collection. I sometimes worry about it because the rim isn't that pronounced - but - it does have all the proper die diagnostics. I just wondered what other collectors might think and what their gut reaction might be.
You know them rims ain't right LOL...What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander you know that....!!!!!!
Ok cool. Thanks for clarifying. Personally my gut reaction says it was given a details grade. I like the rim, I just dont like the color in the center. That looks off to me.
It did get 65RB. The color actually looks a lot better in person. In fact that is one of its best features. It has more luster than shows in the picture as well. It always has been one of those "orphan" coins that doesn't fit right in with what you usually see with matte proofs.
Upon a second closer look at the pix I agree with the assigned grade of pr65 r&b. No major distractions to keep it out of the 65 grade and it is certainly an r & b coin. very nice indeed!
