The note in post #4877 is Pick (Krause) #11 but that is from an old catalog. There is no #11 in my original 1975 Albert Pick catalog.
The Standard Catalog of World Paper Money: Specialized Issues, 12th edition has it as Pick Number S972, according to this link. Here's PMG's page on it: https://www.pmgnotes.com/priceguide...eid=1779653&subcat=1935 Issue&fromsearch=true I'm a foreigner to Pick numbers so I'm not entirely sure what the discrepancy between numbers is...
I paid $38 for this 1935 Canadian Bank of Commerce 5 dollars. I definitely overpaid, but I couldn't resist the RADAR serial.
I acquired the note before getting the United States Department of the Treasury Invitation. The new "large portrait" design change was significant. The portrait was enlarged and shifted left of center leaving room for the newly added watermark. The changes also included a two letter prefix to the serial number and the Federal Reserve Letter was removed from the black Fed Seal along with other minor changes. The note pictured below is an example of what the invitees would have been shown at the unveiling of the new currency design. The Chicago $100 star note was printed in early 1998.
Been looking for that and can't find one. I am sure I had one years ago before I knew what it was and spent it.
