Well this beauty arrived in the mail today. I was amazed at how fast it showed up. Plus one to the USPS, I bought it on Friday and it show's up on Monday from Denver. Well she is just as gorgeous as I was hoping. Have fun. Typical for the 43-S this one has a weaker strike. Fully struck examples are extremely difficult to find.
I'm seeing a 65 maybe plus......Justin question????? Now I don't know of any 43 s ddo's but....maybe you should compare the IGWT and date to a 43 P ddo. Looking like some doubling going on there...
One of my favorite coins in my short time collecting, absolutely love the reverse especially. Anyways no experience on how these grade, the only one I own is a 65 and yours looks nicer to me so I'm gonna guess MS66
FS-101, most noticeable in E_TRUS. This one looks good for it, although it's not really a value-adder as it's available into Condition Census. It compares favorably with MS66's I checked out.
LOL... Sorry, I've been busy shooting a bunch of Peace Dollars for a client. I indeed checked it for the DDO as soon as I received it and it is the FS-101. As @SuperDave mentioned, it doesn't really add any value as they are very common in '43. IIRC there was a doubled working hub that made most of the '43 P, D and S coins have the same doubling.
And the reveal. I love the holder that this beauty is in, and old PCGS Gen. 2.1 which replaced the Doily. It was only used from October to November of 1989, it's the first of the OGH's. The holder was well taken care of. But the Walker inside is what really spoke to me. She is so clean and full of luster, I couldn't tell her no.
