    Happy Saturday, everyone!

While some might be preparing for a night on the town, and others might be settling down for an evening of "Netflix and chill," I...I have been imaging coins, specifically some highlights of today's flea market outing.

I'd like to share them with you now, if you'd like.

    You'd like? Okay. Here goes.

This first one I found in a cardboard set titled "Belgium Modern Uncirculated Type Set." The other coins (1965 5 Francs, 1 Franc, and 50 Centimes, 1964 25 Centimes) are also all uncirculated, but the cherry on top of this deal was the surprise 1954 20 Francs at the beginning of the set.

Second, I picked up a nearly complete (it was missing the 1926 Far 6) Canadian 5 Cent Whitman folder, and was surprised to find the 1925 in there. (I also found a nice AU 1962 Double Date, but it's only a few dollars, so no images for you today, mister!) This will be my second example of the date after my NGC XF45.

Third, and this is my favorite pickup of the day, I finally found a lovely UNC Germany (Westphalia) Notgeld gilt 10,000 Marks. I've seen a few examples where the outer layer has already worn off (think the 10% silver Mexican 1 Pesos from the 1950's-1960's), but this one absolutely glows. A definite keeper.

Finally, the cherrypicker in me was immensely satisfied to find not one but TWO Third Reich varieties.

First, I found a nice AU 1937 D 5 Reichsmark with a tripled obverse. Now, I expect to be corrected if this is something similar to Longacre doubling. I'll post closeups here for you:

    Mintmark:

    Eyebrow showing doubling:

    How about a little Paul:

And maybe some 1847 for good measure:

Finally, we have a 1939 D 2 Reichsmark with a tripled obverse and doubled reverse. I'm seeing all sorts of strong doubling/tripling on this coin. I'll post closeups in a reply (limit of 10 photos per post.)

Let's start with the obverse mintmark:

    Germany (Third Reich) - 1939 D 2 Reichsmark - MM.jpg

    Then the 1847-1934:

    Paul von Hindenburg:

And on to the reverse, "Reichsmark"

    And the date:
