1913-D Type 2 Buffalo Nickel

I'd be interested in your opinions about this coin. It is one of the few gaps in my collection. The texture of the coin is a little off to me. Thoughts?

That's a whizzing.

 

If it is a details coin, it's overpriced. But the way it reads in the listing, they make it sound like it is a good thing.
I was thinking the date was vinegar etched but I am not sure. Because it didn't seem to affect other areas. If you are suspicious of the texture (P and G suggests whizzing) then I would pass, there are other fish in the sea that aren't contaminated with mercury.

I was wondering if they vinegar etching of the whole coin. Hard to tell because the images aren't in focus.
