I get what you are saying, and I do think they probably would make more money with more flexibility. However, they feel trying to squeeze every last penny out of everything is how they will make their money and that is what they do. They've been poorly run for a long time, the idea of eBay is just so good it has saved them. After all this is the same company that treats a $5k sale the same as a 1.99 dvd or 4.99 used shirt

Another month and again my "back up account" has gotten another 500 free listings and my main account absolutely nothing. By now any regular customers I had have probably given up on me, so any benefits from months of steady listings is gone.

Just a moment ago, I made an unpleasant discovery about my eBay Store -- some MORON at eBay had changed it over, without my authorization, to the "new" format.

If your sales are suddenly down, this could be the reason why.

I immediately changed it back to the old, original format. The "new" format is a crazy, confusing mish-mash, and that's what I told the retards who asked me how I liked it. More meddling.

Sorry, there's no way to be "nice" or "politically correct" with respect to eBay's Army of Retards. Hope the CEO is reading this. I used to think things couldn't get any worse than Meg Whitman, but I was wrong.

    Ebay's Army: READY > FIRE > AIM.............repeat...

If you happen to like the "new" format, go for it! It means more sales for ME...

fleabay has reduced the top-rated-seller compensation from 20 percent to 10 percent on fees at the end of each month. does not affect me because i am not top
rated, mearly above standard which is one rung down. so now those who have attained top rated status and owe eBay say $100 in selling fees used to get a $20 refund from fees now will only get $10. They are really being cheap in my estimation. Like I may have mentioned before, I have a basic store costing me
$19.95 per month which will support about 333 items for sale which breaks down
to 250 30 day buy-it-nows and 83 10-day auctions after which I have to pay listing fees which on principle I refuse to do. This is to put pressure on sellers like me with a basic store (19.95 per month) to upgrade to the next level (premium) at 59.95 per
month, which would go from 500 free listings per month to 1500. Waiting for them
to realize they need to do better with their basic store customers.

I am likewise "above standard," but I could never handle 1500 listings per month, so they're out of luck. That's an average of 50 new listings a day during the "build-up" stage, and I have problems doing TEN. It's too boring and time-consuming.
