She’s been teasing me since she got home today and went through the change she received while shopping. She got a 1892 Indian Heat Cent and she’s thrilled about it. I’ll be putting it in a 2 x 2 flip as she wants to keep it. I’m fine with that.
That's great. My wife hoards change in her pocketbook. I think it is so she can use it as a weapon against me when I get her angry..... She caught me once plundering through her change. I was desperately trying to plug holes in a dime album. She walked in and saw me all dug down in her purse.... She thought I was snooping on her!
It's seriously crazy that thing was still running around in the wild. Some kid probably got into grandpa's coin jar and spent it on candy. Although, at today's prices, there are probably some silver quarters and Walkers missing as well.
Weird, my kid just found something too. He had a quarter on the counter, and I asked him where he found it. He said he found it in our Escalade. It was a silver 1957 quarter, but I swear I did not have any out, (they are in the safe), so must have been from change or from the previous owner. Cool find! Its been decades since I got an indian head cent in change.
