    I know. It's a penny under a microscope that is just damaged, copper soft.

    Looks like the copper was damaged after minting and it’s been worn a lot since. I assume it’s a Wheat Cent and copper is very soft on those coins do it moves easily. Despite its damage, it’s worth about three cents.

    Always post full sized pictures showing both sides of the coin you have questions about.

    That's post mint damage in my honest opinion.

    Most issues you will find in circulation is circulation wear and tear with no added value at all.
