A 1943 Mercury Dime with numerous laminations. in the right field just above and to the left of the Y from LIBERTY, I triangular section is missing. There are numerous lamination cracks below liberty’s winged head on her cheek, neck, and in through IN GOD, WE TRUST. It’s nice to see a lamination on something other than a Lincoln Cent. With all of the cracks and missing areas on this coin, I think it makes for a neat error.
Cents seem to have more laminations but maybe that’s because we have minted more cents than other types.
