Environmental damage is no joke. Fortunately, silver and gold are "mostly" immune compared to copper. Let's not talk about Zircs.
I still haven't sent it back to ANACS yet. My plan is to submit around 15 or so at our next coin show in town for the discount. I no longer get ANACs to grade my stuff unless it's a common date but has an interesting VAM I want attributed. PCGS only attributes the more commercially known ones. I occasionally send already graded coins with VAMS I'm interested in to VSS for the back of slab attribution label. Most collectors aren't interested in that, unless they are, and then it can mean a 20% or more bump to the value. I've been paying attention to the R rating lately. Just because a variety isn't a top 100 or hot list doesn't determine how rare it is. It's small universe of interest, but some day it might become more bankable. The mint isn't making anymore of them, and the days of bags of Morgans just popping up out of nowhere I'm guessing is in the rear view mirror. That goes for vintage slabs as well.
