I haven't seen anything quite like this before. The grey/silver color areas have cartwheel luster and the reverse looks struck through. It weighs correctly. What exactly is this?
The 95D I posted is altered. Sometimes it's heat. Sometimes it is a chemical. Most of the altered cents will show some specs of copper plating in the zinc toned areas or a slight coppery tone to the zinc. Unlike the struck off center that is original. In that instance the copper plating just couldn't handle the stress of the strike.
