I bought a $55. Italian silver coin from an eBay seller in Greece and I don't know if I was just lucky but the postal carrier delivered it to my mailbox and that was it, no fee. The seller was nice enough to put down on the customs declaration that it was a gift and a reduced value of 25. Euros. And he also put down in the detailed description section that it was a "metal token souvenir". I hadn't bought any coins from Europe since the Tariffs started and I didn't know what to expect. Of course I gave him a glowing feedback.
The only issues I've had were last year with some purchases from Britain that came by FEDEX - I get stuff from Europe all the time and no other issues.
I keep getting alerts that the carrier will need to collect my tariff fees but they never do. Like @scottishmoney said, FedEx is the only one that has ever collected any from me.
