It's a website that uses AI (ChatGPT) to blend several images of your coin into a single image. You upload the images; they can be from slightly different angles for better lighting on the coin, and it assembles them. Of course, it still depends on the quality of the images you upload.
I gave it a try, as I think there’s a really good use case. I bought a nice 1827 PCGS 50C O-147 in VF 30 on eBay yesterday, but the seller only had a single set of (crappy) pictures. So in addition to the slab photos of obv and rev, I uploaded pictures of another O-147 (CoinFacts) in the same grade, also certified by PCGS. Yeah, they’re obviously “fake”, but now I have decent pictures of a coin which I haven’t even received :-D Seller’s pictures: CoinFacts photos of another O-147: Results:
I’m happy with the results being a free site. Although they are essentially glamour shots, similar to a TrueView, an actual professional image would yield better results.
True? Yes. I have many faults, but lying isn't one of them. Unless I'm lying now -- which I'm not. ;-) How did I determine that? I went to the website, set-up an account, then tried it out by following its instructions. In that process it became obvious that until you upload a photo of the coin in the holder it will not complete its generation of a final photo.
Blackberry - can you show us the individual images it used to make one of those composites? I'm wondering how much editing/stitching/altering its doing compared to the originals.
Ignore my messy haircut background. My last conversation with the designer I also suggested a video option in addition to photos that get uploaded.
