Please Guess The PCGS Grade : 1795 Half Dollar

    This is my other 1795 Half. The slab is a bit scratched.
    Note a small pit behind the head.

    VG8, or maybe VG10, as @dwhiz indicated.

    I'm not sure if that little pit in left field would've been enough to warrant a "details" grade or not. I know that a lot of early US stuff like this gets some leniency for such things, particularly in the lower grades.

    10. That pit is likely a planchet flaw.

    I am at a VG8 tops, yes the hair has more detail than an 8 should, but the reverse is quite worn and weak. Looks like a 2 leaves to me.

    I think the TPGs are fairly liberal with the really early stuff so I'm going to go out on a limb and say f12.
