Here's a Thread for the day! It's called, "T for Terrific Tuesday!". Post a coin that you have or don't have that you deem Terrific and explain why. Here are two from my collection. A 1938D Buffalo Nickel because if the toning and grade. Also, a German coin during WW2 because it's basically a piece of history.
This is my Terrific Coin. Which I a got back in October of 2018 https://www.cointalk.com/threads/20c-silver-1895-pgv-puerto-rico-xf-45.326139/ I love coins that were used in Puerto Rico. They are hard to acquire so when I see one at a good price I get it. Not the best grade but it has history. BTW Sal, I'm mentioning you very soon in a thread I'm creating
I'll offer this one. I bought this years ago as a strictly bullion purchase... But then the design really appealed to me. So it went from the bullion pile to the "enjoy the coin" pile. Later this Washington bust was used on our quarters for a brief spell.
Never seen that coin before. It's a beautiful eagle for sure. I don't know about George. I never was a fan of his. Dude got flanked twice by Cornwallis. And captured twice as an English Officer fighting the French.
The depiction of Washington kneeling was used as the patch design for the 1957 BSA Jamboree held at Valley Forge.
