    Perhaps Rick is speaking of the oval shaped hole just to the left of the bell's crack. That could be a minor strike through or just a dent. I can't quite tell from the picture if there is raised metal around the rim or not, although I think there is, which would eliminate strike through.

    The hole on the reverse is sunk in
    It's not a retained strike through
