At first I was thinking 60 but second look 58

 

AU58 ot UNC cleaned... does the luster show cleaning?

Great observation. I did my best to study overlay photos. It seems to me that metal that didn't flow into the claw would have gone into the forehead hair, but that doesn't look like a particularly sharp strike either. Or am I looking at this from the wrong standpoint?

 

I see a weak strike on the reverse but wear in the hair and Liberty band. First thought was AU58 but maybe that's too generous.

 

I too was at AU-58. Just don'y know the true in hand luster. James

 

I’m at an AU-55 on this one.

 

Seeing mushiness on the tail feathers and base of the arrows (reverse) but I don't think that's due to wear but rather weakness of strike. MS-62

I use you opinions as a base for grading my collection so that my wife and sons will have something to go by.

You may ask why I don't just have them graded like so many people do, and the answer lies in my total lack of experience with the process, and caution/fear of loss or theft as I would have to send them in to the PCGS or NGC offices in Europe.
