I’ve recently been going through my collection of Imperial Russian gold coins, including several Nicholas II pieces. I’d really like to connect with collectors who specialize in Russian Imperial gold and learn more about the history, varieties, rarity, and current collector interest. I’ll be sharing some photos and would appreciate hearing from anyone who collects this area of numismatics.

Yes, you'll likely get more responses in World Coins, though there's nothing wrong with posting these where you did in the general Coin Chat category.

All gold is good to have. The only Russians I have are this and this. I have a fair bit of gold, but no Russian gold.

    Welcome! :)

I don't collect Russian coins, but those are interesting and pretty coins. Thanks for posting. Mike

Sorry, the pics were from 6 years ago when I wasn't as handy with the smartphone camera. :D

I guess I sorta need one, though I've considerably slowed down in my gold coin purchasing since bullion rose in the last couple of years. For the most part, I bought in in 2022-2023, just in time before the sharp spike.

Some coins in some grades are basically just bullion plus a modest premium...and that coin I got was like 1/6th ounce of gold or something like that.

    Saves some $$$$.....:D
    Nice timing !!! :cigar:
