KUSHAN: Kanishka I AE tetradrachm, OADO reverse. Obverse: King standing facing, sacrificing at altar at left, holding sceptre in left hand, Bactrian legend around: ÞAO KANIÞKI (Shao Kanishki). Reverse: Wind God Oado flying right, holding up his cloak to catch the wind like a sail, and hair flying to indicate his rapid motion, Bactrian legend at right: OA?O, tamgha at left. Date c. 127-150 CE.
There are quite a few different gods on the reverses of these. I don't have the wind god but this sun god one will show the layout.
D'oh! I would have answered, but I was busy over in the World coins trying to identify Chinese cash. I fully concur with the ID of Kushan, Kanishka I, showing the wind god Oado. Be careful, though- once you have one Kushan coin, you will start to seek out more, and more...
I've got Oesho (maybe Shiva?) courtesy of my Secret Santa! I've seen pictures of Kushan coins, but didn't quite realize how cool they were until I had one in hand and started researching it...
