I don't think fake (even if it is my coin). It is a B-1 variety and it displays the fine die breaks on the obverse (oops, reverse) left periphery typical of this variety. Die breaks are very difficult to fake. The obverse may have been mishandled a bit giving it a different appearance from the reverse which looks fresh. BUT, that is only my opinion - let us see what the experts say.
I don’t see an obverse die crack but the reverse has a real nice die crack from 9 to 7. It runs from the UN in UNITED, through the eagles wing and continues to the last leaves on the olive branch. I can’t think of any fake die cracks on coins. I give it a high AU grade as I can see slight wear on Liberty’s hair. This is the small letters variety.
You could be right maybe not fake, it don't look like mine but that could be because mine is an 1825 and I guess different years look different. Here's my one and only!
The coin looks genuine to me, but it also looks to me like it's been cleaned with a paste (baking soda, for example).
I concur with 55. Very attractive coin. Where in the world do you get all these nice US Type coins? Aren't you in Europe? You've been posting some awesome stuff.
I also think real, it's a small letters. The surfaces have definitely been messed with IMO. AU details. But a very nice coin for a type set or album.
