One of the things I really like about this drachm/tet design is the way in which the entire obverse space is utilized. Bing's drachm is an especially nice demonstration of the way that the die engraver used every bit of that circular space.

Yes agree, the obverse portrait on that Drachma of Bing is beautifull. At the other end of the spectrum is this huge medaillon-like Tet of Philip V of Macedonia. comparision for size with a lifetime Tet of Alexander the Great:
