Lordmarcovan: where I stand with a US Basic Design Type Set (19th + 20th C.)

    @russell1256, you must have missed the “X” for the “Draped Bust half dime, small eagle.” That type is harder to find than the other two.

    Lord M, Mark, and John - you all have very nice type set collections. So much dedication, congratulations!

    I have never looked at my U.S collection that way - don't know why, guess it's because I am a foreigner.

    I collect by types - ie, colonials and early copper, bust and seated dimes, and some selected dates for quarters, halves, and dollars. 95 % is non-encapsulated (as I find them in Europe). Just a few in gold.

    Have you guys ever considered doing Year Sets? i.e - as many coin types for a given year as you can put together?
