From the 1st video, I would definitely say that the bulk of my 200 bills -- the ones in the 4 sleeves to a page holders -- are mostly in the 8-25 numerical grade range. Their blemishes and flaws are fewer and a bit less apparent than his (assuming his grades are accurate; I still have to get to video #2 :D ).

That's why I think -- unless I have invisible hidden folds or the graders go over the corners with a loupe/lens -- that my Top 50 (and certainly my Top 10-15)...are going to be AT LEAST in the 50's. You have to LOOK for the flaws before you see them, if they exist. Again, I could be wrong but I'm going by my eyes.

And of course, I do remember my PMG-45 $10 GC which from the pics could pass as low-to-mid 60's and did on a GTG thread here. So anything is possible and even "nice" bills to my novice eyes could turn out to grade alot lower than I think.

    Anyway...back to the videos.....:D

I personally would not submit any of them for grading. I would put them all in good mylar holders and keep them like that.

I don't actually like having graded notes much, they take up much more space than ungraded notes, and I feel more removed from them when I handle them. Grading can be important for resale, or to ensure authenticity, of course, but those hardly apply here. These have sentimental value, and you will be able to observe them closer in ungraded mylar holders compared to big stiff slabs.

Well, those 2 videos were very instructive. Some observations:
    • For the most part, the bills were lower-quality graded bills, most of them 12-25.
    • He collects more obscure bills where the chance of appreciation from a rating upgrade is very pronounced. Going from a VG-8 to Fine-12 can mean nice $$$.
    • I'm surprised some of the bills are worth as much as they are (like the GCs) when much nicer bills are seeing sales for modest amounts more. Maybe the price he quotes from the reference book are too high. Asking prices on Ebay are not the same as final sales there or on an auction site.
    • It's possible that PMG's lower ratings were more conservative and that he might not get the price he thinks for higher-graded PCGS Banknotes. PCGS BN could soon have a "discount stigma" if they are seen as overgrading notes.
