I have three boxes of them (2026 D). I had one and Monday they gave me two more. I try to get used but keep getting new. I will take 2 boxes back today or tomorrow. South Central Texas. These are nickels.
I can also get all the boxes you want. But no guarantee of new, or even that there will not be foreign coins in it.
I have been searching mainly nickels & dimes. Willing to carry away anything I’m offered. Some banks, Key & Bank of America will order boxes for me. M&T not so much but I have been supplying pennies to a couple of branches. Kinda makes me a hero. Sometimes it’s new boxes, sometimes used Syracuse NY
I'M also in Maine and ask my bank for some they on reroll from change machine one of the tellers said Home Depot get Loomis new ones and asked they said they'd not sell any rolls of Quarters!
Most, if not all, of the banks in my area have made it very clear that dealing in coins and cash is a nuisance. They've removed their change counters, reduced the amount of tellers and ATMs, and really pushed digital money. They don't come right out and say it, but the designs of their locations almost literally scream "no more physical money, please!" This might be happening only in larger urban areas, but from what I can tell, it applies to all bank branches in my area. There seems to be a decisive effort to undermine physical cash. I don't think it will go away completely, but it's definitely getting pushed way to the side. As a reflection of that, I frequently ask the cashiers at the grocery store I shop at about the cash/credit proportion. The last answer, about a month ago, was "one out of ten purchases are now cash." Even I was shocked.
I have accounts in two local banks. The one, TD Bank, grumbles every time I bring in change (normally one box of something). The manager told me a while back that they no longer want me bringing rolled change, so I stopped. For that reason, I have been fazing them out and will close the account with them once I run out of checks. I already changed my direct deposit to my other bank. Another reason why I want to close that account is because I wanted to withdraw $3,000. I was told they needed prior warning that I was needing a large sum. I thought, "$3,000 is not much in this day and age!" They allowed me $2,000. The teller also asked me what it was for. Now, with all the scams going around, perhaps she is required to ask that, but that felt like a really odd, rather personal question. Who cares what it is for? I put the money in to save it and I should be able to withdraw it for whatever I need, whenever I need it.
Not saying you - but too many old people are getting scammed so they ask the questions now a day to try to help if they can. And then people sue them for the mistake they made. One of those no win situations. Depending on who waits on me at my CU they might ask about my vacation withdrawals. I don't mind. LOL - it is kind of like people won't shop at walmart/costco cause they ask at the exit to see the receipt. And my CU told me 7 or 8 years ago to not ask for rolls of change any more. I know it was before covid.
I'm in California, and I was able to get 10 rolls of the 2026 D Mayflower quarters. PM me if you want one of them. Otherwise, I'm planning to deposit most of them back in my bank next week (except for maybe one) cause $100 in coin is kind of a lot to hang onto.
