    I have one or two tiny gold fanams and a 1/2 dollar gold octagon, all small enough that I don't think I banished them to the SDB. But they're upstairs. It'll be a week or two before I can get up stairs at all, and longer still before my knee is stable enough to let me excavate the coins. :(

    I just shipped this one off to Thailand, to the winner of my last giveaway. @weryon chose this for his prize in the “pick your prize” contest. They don’t get any smaller than this!

    India (Vijayanagara Empire): ca. 1336-1646 gold bele (1/10 fanam) "World's Smallest Gold Coin", ICG certified

    Numista-67603.

    This is a gold bele, or 1/10 fanam. Even a full fanam is tiny, but these gold beles are extremely tiny! This gold “coin” of the Vijayanagara Empire, an Indian Hindu dynasty (1336-1646), is no larger than a sesame seed!

    It is certified and encapsulated as genuine by ICG and described as "The World's Smallest Gold Coin".

    There is only a very small speck of gold here, but it's a fun conversation piece.

    Horus is a god and son of Isis and Osiris. His left eye was damaged in a fight with Set who killed Osiris. His eye was later restored and is considered a symbol of protection.

    Horus is the god of the double wand of power. Not sure what that is but he's suppose to usher in the New Aeon according to Aleister Crowly who wrote about it in The Book of the Law in 1904.

    Book of the Law Chapter 3 line 7 "I will give you a war engine." [Does that maybe sound like the inter-webbie or a computer?]
