Baltimore Whitman show to Washington, DC?

I recently posted this in another forum, thought I would post it here also.

I heard a rumor at a coin show today that in 2027 the Whitman Expos will more to DC.

It seems that the rumor has been confirmed, at least for the first show in 2027.

 

Why move -- safety ? Costs ? Ease of access ?

 

The promoter says they can't get a room at the Baltimore Expo. That has happened to FUN a few times, but I'm surprised that Baltimore is sold out.

 

Shucks, a bit too far from Idaho.

 

Is that where the show is and the promoter wants a room in the same venue as the show ? Or would he be OK with a room at a nearby hotel ?

 

I don’t that there is a hotel facility which is big enough, unless the Baltimore show has gotten much smaller since I last attended it.
