Congrats - and I do not think it looks cleaned in the pictures. Are you going to crack it out for the album?

The reason for the question is because I had a common date morgan come back as cleaned MS details. Took it to the local shop - and was told they screwed up, crack it out and resend it in. It was not worth a second grading fee - but I did crack it out. And a few years later took it back to the shop and my dad still made some money off the coin. So for this coin - in an album with a bunch of nice morgans might even make you a little money in the coming years. Assuming you ever sell. Of course this rare date will probably even appreciate in the holder.

no I’m going to leave it in the slab as that at least proves it’s genuine. Anyone that looks at it hand-in-hand can see. There’s no lines from cleaning that it was just a quick dip. I could crack it out and put it on the window sill where it gets sunlight and after a few months, I could resubmit it and get a better straight grade. The dealer I bought it from in California also sent me the fake coin and no charge. It’s not the estimate but it is the right date 1893 so I may just plug that into the hole because I know I’ve got the real one.

I like that idea - I always hated seeing those empty holes in my large cent albums. I had the coins but they were graded. Heck - even some of the fakes were expensive for the 1793 and 1804 large cents.
