Today I'm seeing a seller with fake ICG slabs. No serial numbers on semi key date slabs. Eesh! And to really add insult to injury, it is a seller out of Orlando whose secondary name is "Not Just China. " LOL!

(numbers do not match ICG website) The seller mosty sells china (dinnerware). Ironic?

I'm not sure the slabs are fake.

 

I tested all of the serial numbers. None matched anything. Maybe someone else can give it a try? @Insider ?

 

It seems odd for a seller to have over 100 fake slabs. Most all of them are problem coins. He also has over 20000 positive sales. I feel there is something else going on.

 

But there are serial numbers, just blurry. All three of your links (that work) scan OK and the third one verifies on ICG. I don't see anything wrong with the coins.

Edit: I think you need to read the fine print when it says "no results found": "This coin is not present in our online records due to an update to our database. This does not indicate any issue with authenticity. Please email customer service for steps to assign a new serial number."

Yeah. The store name made me lol.

 

The trains look good, to bad the sellers doesn't have any n scale.

 

The data loss was unfortunate. I think it affected a few weeks of submissions several years ago. For those slabs we cannot tell who graded then coins,etc. and the don't appear in the population report. in the last two years we've reinstated about 40 coins so there may be several thousand coins that are off the books!

 

I thought that the ICG company in Florida closed down due legal probs and EBay wouldn't allow him to submit items for sale. This would have been 8-10 years ago
