    Feel the winds of change. With Doug’s passing, we have a new day-to-day site administrator. @geekpryde has valiantly stepped up to fill that important role.

    That left us in need of another moderator. I put forward the name of Jeff B. (@-jeffB), and he was unanimously approved by the rest of the staff.

    So he is confirmed, and I am pleased to officially pin the badge on him now. :)

    @geekpryde’s “promotion” is perhaps less a case of “promotion” than of him volunteering to step in - and step up - with Doug’s departure. He was perhaps the only suitable candidate.

    Those are some mighty big shoes to fill, and I know I certainly couldn’t have done it. Most of us probably don’t realize how much Doug’s daily presence behind the scenes kept the nastier shenanigans off this site.

    Good to know there will be someone there who’s proficient with all of those mysterious levers and dials on the bridge of the Starship CoinTalk.

    That would be up to the owner, @Peter T Davis.

    However, I do know that if you upgrade to Supporter status, the ads all go away.

    I’ve also been told that some folks use a good ad blocker with some success. I think @SensibleSal66 mentioned that.
