What is this line? W.B. Ray Strawberry Token

Does anyone know what these lines are? They appear to be raised and I don't see anything that would indicate heat damage.

Looks like it was struck with a cracked die. That would account for the raised lines.

Looks to me like it is in the planchet, an occluded gas bubble?

 

I don't think it's a die crack because, a) it seems to wide and, b) it doesn't have a die crack travel path. Die cracks usually connect to the corners of letters and such, but whatever this is goes past design element without changing it's course.

Unfortunately I can't compare it to other examples because this is currently the only one known.

Yes, and the lettering seems to be On Top Of the defective planchet
