While surfing the net, I came across this award for excellence in obstetric care: I was instantly reminded of an AV Octodrachm of Arsenoe and can't help but think that this Women's Choice Award, with its diademed and veiled bust right, was influenced by classical numismatics: And, of course, the US trade dollars seem to have been influenced by the Pax seated reverse types on Roman coins: What other modern coins/medals do you think were influenced by the ancient celators?

Another obvious example is the Athenian Owls and the modern Greek euro I like collecting ancient modern design pairs so I'm glad you posted this! I can think of at least 10 or so others. I currently have a few where I have one coin and I'm on the lookout for the others. I'll continue posting them to the thread as I get them
