    I believe it's a "clash" with the Eagle's feathers on the reverse.
    Just happens to be a perfect fit. ;)

    That variety was caused by a die clash. To be a little more specific, it was the eagles wings on the reverse that got onto the obverse. A famous die clash and on the inexpensive side at that. I have one somewhere in all my coins. Do you have that in your collection? :)

    I don't currently own a franklin, but from your selection, I like the 57 the best.

    It’s an easy set to assemble and not to costly. Very easy to put a lower grade set together in a Whitman’s folder.
