Another of those difficult to photograph half dimes. But, I think I got pretty close with this set of pictures and my crappy camera. Nice reflective surfaces.
I’m at AU-55 on this one. It has a lot more details and less wear than the last few Seated ladies that you’ve posted. It also has a nice die clash on the reverse.
Wow! I'm not convinced that I see any actual wear on this one. Yeah, the hair and clasp look worn - but there's NO flattening on the arms and legs. And that reverse!
I really do not want to praise my own coin, but I agree with you - I have the coin in front of me and I don't see any wear either. There are as few minor nicks here and there, though. Wish my camera would take better pictures.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone! Glad to see many lean toward AU-55 or even Mint State. The lack of flattening on the limbs really makes me think it's a weak strike rather than actual wear. Appreciate the sharp eyes!
It's a late die state. I'll go MS-63 if complete luster is there. Here are a couple more examples of the type. NGC graded this MS-64. As you can see, this design has less detail than you might think. This is a Proof-64. I would love to put an 1858 Proof set together, but that is a tall order.
