    I can see why no one writes in cursive anymore.

    I do but it's like a doctors writing. ;)
    What I hate is when they ask you to sign your name electronically. :eek: It always comes out terrible.

    These look like promissory notes, not checks. They're not drawn on a bank, but are a promise to pay in the future. Not sure what they're worth, though. Probably $20-30 each.

    I like the vignette on the second one. Since these are not drawn on a bank, you would have to like either the design or the specific people involved. That probably limits the value.

    As far as cursive... Was cursive really invented to work with fountain pens? As in it was a pain to have to pick up the pen so you adapted your writing to keep moving? I was taught it in elementary school so I still have muscle memory to write it but I can hardly read it anymore, especially my own.
