$500 note new purchase

    me too for awhile now. Finally got both. Stock market winners helped make it happen.

    Congrats....the $500 ran you about $3K, give-or-take ?

    I was surprised that $1,000 bills weren't as pricey relative to the $500's when I perused the HA archives (have to do GC, too)....I think that was because circulated $500's in lower grades got bought up during Covid and the price curve "kinked upwards" for the lower bill.

    But for 60's bills in high grade, you clearly had price separation.

    yes it did run a bit over 3K. Could have gotten a much more worn one for around 1700 but I wanted a nicer version.
