What do you think of this piece? Looks genuine to me, maybe G Details environmental damage?

These are always in horrible condition, it might get a G-06 because of that.
I have the S (decent condition) but the CC is the more desirable mm.

Like @Michael K said, I've got the S, too. Maybe just a little better condition? But, I'd trade it in a heart beat for the CC! I know it's not perfect, but it would be welcomed in my collection!

Just curious. What's the chap want for it? Aren't there nicer one's for sale? Not much of a seated guy. Don't know much about this series.

It's an auction. Under $60 right now.

1875-CC in G-04 is $250. And with "auctions" (rigged bids on EBay) you have to pay more than that.

Did you try acetone for the brown mysterious excrement?
Oh I see cleaning scratches. Too bad there's tons of detail on that
and if it wasn't details it looks to be XF/AU.

The coin resides in a PCGS MS62 holder.

The thing about most auctions is that all of the "action" happens at the end. It can look "cheap" for weeks, but that is only because the real bidders are holding off until the end. Then they lower the boom.

Here's mine. It's a funky looking NGC MS-62. The thing I like about it is that it is well struck. Many 1875-CC double dimes are poorly struck at the top of the eagle's left wing and the corrisponding spot on the shield on the obverse.

I have been a 20 cent piece "nut" since I was in high school, much to my financial sorrow. I have over paid for a number of them, especially the 1877 Proof which was heavily promoted for a while.

John Milton shouldn't it look more silvery? Or is it just the photo?
Especially for an MS piece. Even if it has toned, it should look like silver.
The reverse does a little but the obverse looks very coppery.

It's silver. I told you the look was funky. The blue toning above Ms. Liberty's head is the least convincing.

Bought this double dime a couple years ago for my registry type set.
