    Anglo-Gallic: Edward the Black Prince (1362-1372), AR hardi, Limoges mint, Elias-204, S-8134 (1.05g)

    Obverse: ЄD PO GЄnT RЄGI ΛGЄ (“Edwardvs primo genitvs Regis anglie Princeps Aqvitanie”, which translates as "Edward, first born of the King of England, Prince of Aquitaine"). Half-length figure of Edward facing beneath Gothic canopy, holding sword in right hand and raising left in benediction

    Reverse: PRn CPS ΛQPI TΛn ("Princeps Aquitanie" for "Prince of Aquitaine."). Long cross pattée; lis in first and fourth quarters, leopard in second and third.

    Pic below is my Black Prince slab. Given to me by Black Prince Holidays in Wales after we rented a narrow boat from them. I believe it's made from Welsh slate. Mike
