Yeah, but I had enough to go around as far as money. Now, 31 years later? Not so much. It's called marriage.

Here is one of the early images of Lincoln on a presidential campaign token. This image from the the Childs Company in Chicago.

Here is a rare Lincoln shield pin. Some believe that there are about five survivors of this piece.

Here is a Lincoln piece which is listed as a Civil War token.

I have the die which was used to strike the obverse. It was cut by William Key whose shop was in Philadelphia, PA. This is one of four known dies which were used to strike Civil War tokens.

That you and yes it is an early slab. I think it would grade much higher by today’s standards that it was graded originally. I am no way I’m going to have it re-graded as I think the earlier label means so much more. :)

That is one nice looking token! And also looks like someone is in a terrible situation. I've worked with plenty of excellent crafts-people, but never once did I feel comfortable enough to be that person holding the wedge!

On some of the tokens with this theme, there are more than one, the wedge holder is Stephen Douglas. Douglas was a long time Lincoln rival in Illinois.

This is the most common Lincoln railsplitter variety.
