    Hello everyone,
    A recent acquisition.

    • This is a 1942 10-peso emergency currency note from the Sub-province of Apayao in the Philippines.
    • Such notes were printed locally during World War II when the provincial government was forced into hiding.
    • These are rare items, with some circulated examples selling for over $100 depending on condition.
    • The notes were printed on low-quality paper and often featured hand-carved plates.

    Those local emergency notes are very collectible @paddyman98. Since they were printed on such poor quality paper, they're usually in very poor shape. Your example is in remarkably good condition. It reminds me of the local Vietnamese notes that first featuring Ho Chi Minh or some of the early JIM with the young emperor that came from Thailand.
