1 ounce gold and ONLY $19,600! It's limited to 2026 and one per customer. Shucks, I was hoping to get a few...

I'm sure they'll be available from the usual aftermarket suspects, with just a nominal convenience fee added...

I searched through my couch cushions, recliner chair, coat & jean pockets & was only able to come up with $19,588.

    Damn...I was so close.

Sadly the U.S. Mint has become a greedy coin dealer which the power to strike official U.S. Government items. They can now throw their ideas up on the wall, at outragious prices, to see if it sticks.

This one does not stick with me at any price.

The coin below, a 1799 $10 gold piece and this golden mint offering have simlar prices/values. Which one would you rather have? The gold piece is now in an AU-55 PCGS holder.

I could add a several quality key date pieces to my type set for that kind of money. The mint has become a total disappointment and I won't buy anything from them anymore.
