Picked up some nasty money from the bank the other day https://youtube.com/shorts/1F0vIj4wOn0?feature=share
I worked for a New York based bank and those bills would have not been put back in circulation. They would have been considered "soiled" and would have been sent back to the Fed for destruction. Bank policies vary.
I have a box of those blue light rubber gloves that I started using for CRH - it is no joke that money is absolutely filthy. I would definitely look into getting lightweight protective gloves
In fairness, the teller warned me and I said yes anyway because I needed to hunt something - I just wasn't expecting it to be that bad.
I spent time in the bank cash management department that used to get volunteers to go on branch vault audits where they would have to run the inventory through machinery to confirm balances. It was a bit of a practical joke because the "victims" were unaware how disgusting the job is.
Lol! I can't imagine... found that shoe sticker and candy stuck to bills before. God knows what else is out there...
